I thought this would provide a nice contrast to Christian's photo below!

Also, I chose to place the word "glory" on the bottom of the picture because some friends and I were talking the other day about creation reflects God's glory. So I've had a heightened conscience lately of the way God's glory appears in the beauty of nature as well as in seeing people struggling with life and responding to it in ways that show how God is faithful and loving and gives us strength.

May we all reflect that glory to each other!

Molly...did you take this photo??? It is absolutely beautiful! I can picture my duck decoys nestled among the lillies... :-)

On a more serious note, I sometimes look at what moves me and find it extremely interesting (you have no idea how many really wierd things are interesting to me) - I find it extremely interesting that I can be equally passionate about really diverse things: a beautiful picture or an amazing sunset on the one hand, a romp on the floor with my kids, killing an animal, writing a piece of code no one else will ever see.

Now, some of those things may seem utterly incompatible to some of you. But some of you understand how there's a consistency that can span everything we do...and I think its centered in some way in God's glory.

I am learning to see God's glory reflected in his diversity; I am learning to reflect God's glory as I live diversely.

I did take the picture, but I also doctored the colors and the focus after the fact :)
