Guestbook

Hey, what do you know! We've actually decided to create a guestbook. This is the place where you can leave your mark on SeeLifeDifferently, for generations to come - tell us who you are; tell us what you think; tell us where you came from; tell us where to go... it doesn't matter to us, we just want to hear from you! (cf. My Addiction)

So, who will be the first to sign? Who will follow in your footsteps? Inquiring minds want to know what you think. This is your spot. Have at it!

Guess I'm third then...
I'm Chris form the UK, employed as a computer games programmer, and living in London... Really pleased to know there are some balanced and realistic voices on the internet, as well as the nutters and fanatics... [and fully aware that many people would describe me as a fanatic]

Al was my OT and Hebrew prof. I just came out to Baltimore for Easter, and intended to see Al. You see he came to be with me when I was hospitalized for being bipolar so I wanted to be with him too, but I didn't make it in time. I was in a car accident 3 years ago, which I'm still recovering from. I was in a coma about a year, and I still use a walker. I wanted to encourage Al.I would like to get through to Libby too, if I can...

My name is Martin Oren; my email address is martin@orenworld.net, and I just published that "anonymous" remark about Al.I want to be accessible, and for you, especially Libby, to know who I am.

I read this book in the summer while I was camping with my two boys, one of which has Down syndrome. I found a fair amount of the book offensive, but in fairness, that was way the world was in the 60's and sometimes today - TOTALLY IGNORANT. It brought back memories of when my son with Down syndrome was born 15 years ago. My husband (now my ex) thought the 'thing' to do was put him in an institution. My response was "you go in the institution and I will keep Geoffrey". How can anybody comment on something they know nothing about. It was an interesting book. The movie is being shot here in Halifax this month. I'm curious to see what actors they actually get to portray the ignorant views with people living with Down syndrome
